Leading techno-economic and policy analyst, Dr. Marcello Contestabile, now part of KAPSARC research team

Dr. Marcello Contestabile, an expert on low-carbon vehicle technologies, particularly hydrogen fuel cells, batteries and related infrastructure, has joined KAPSARC as a member of the Research Department. He has 10 years’ experience at the Centre for Environmental Policy, Imperial College, London, including a secondment to the UK Government’s Department of Transport.

Marcello has led research on a number of high-profile EU, UK and industry funded projects, and authored several papers for peer-reviewed publications, such as Energy Policy and Energy and Environmental Sciences. He holds a PhD in Energy Policy and Technology and an MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London, as well as an MSc in Chemistry from the University of Rome La Sapienza, Italy
