Natural gas has gained significant importance in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, with demand reaching more than 700 billion cubic meters (bcm) in 2022 and increasing by almost 50% compared with a decade ago. Gas demand in the MENA region accounts for 17% of the global gas consumption, making it a key demand center.
