Job Description

To design, maintain, monitor and enhance programs, policies and procedures in relation to Learning, Career Development and Succession Planning in order to identify and plan for career progression routes of employees; to develop and execute appropriate learning plans for career and competency development; and to support succession planning so as to reduce operational risks within the parameters of the established human resource and business strategies.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, or other relevant Management or Social Science disciplines.
  • 2-8 years of experience within the HR industry; excellent industry awareness and understanding of the technical and behavioral development needs of the organization.
  • Excellent command of the English language (spoken/written).
  • Business proficiency in Arabic language.
  • Knowledge of designing and delivering a variety of training solutions, partnering with third parties, budget and people management.

Experience

  • Excellent industry awareness and understanding of the technical and behavioral development needs of the organization.
  • Strong communication skills, both in writing and speaking.
  • Articulate and confident in standing up and delivering to large audiences.
  • Ability to work harmoniously with people of different nationalities and temperaments.
  • Ability to monitor learning and development activities consistently and thoroughly.
  • Work collaboratively with service delivery peers and provide subject matter expertise to the design, development and implementation of learning / organizational development strategies and programs that meet the needs of KAPSARC.
  • Help management solve specific training problems, either on a one-to-one basis or in groups.
  • Identify training needs based on the individual’s need assessment and KAPSARC’s strategic direction.
  • Develop and implement a training plan based on the training need analysis in alignment with the HR leadership team.
  • Develop effective induction programs.
  • Produce training materials for in-house courses.
  • Provide ongoing education and guidance to managers and leadership teams about the need to adopt a holistic view of Talent Management requirements incorporating Learning, Career Development and Succession Planning, and how inputs from various sources like performance management, business strategies and organizational goals, personal aspirations and market imperatives drive these.
  • Generate appropriate monitoring reports for training spend, course attendance / completions and present the same to the HR leadership team for review.
  • Generate appropriate reports that measure the impact of training received by employees and prepare development / action plans accordingly.
  • Provide appropriate reports and analysis of learning needs to support the budgeting process for learning and career development activities.
  • Research new technologies and methodologies in workplace learning and present this research.
  • Other duties within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job, as needed by the department or requested by management.
