Project Aim

This research program considers how natural disasters impact an energy system and whether there are ways to enhance municipal resiliency. Its goal is to develop a methodology to help decision-makers understand the impact of natural disasters, such as an extreme weather event, on an energy system, so as to build structural and non-structural mitigation strategies. This study aims to provide insights into energy resiliency at a community/city level and assess the impacts of a natural disaster on communities outside of the immediate impact zone.
