This workshop is co-organized by KAPSARC and the Energy Information Administration (EIA) of the United States. The objective of the workshop is to discuss the future of oil and gas in the global context and compare and contrast modeling techniques developed mainly in KAPSARC and the EIA, in addition to paving the way for additional collaboration between the two organizations. We will examine: (a) current perspectives on global oil supply and demand equilibrium; (b) global LNG outlook and regional new LNG developments; (c) the economics of modeling oil demand; and (d) the changing energy mix in the United States and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in a global context.
