Workshop

This webinar aims to address the challenge of plastic waste facing our world today and will focus on opportunities for preventing the leakage of waste into the natural environment. Speakers will shed light on the issue from a global perspective, highlighting the primary sources of plastic waste, the major waste hotspots, the opportunities to re-think our approach to ‘hard to recycle’ plastics, and the potential impact on land and marine environments. Plastics have become vital to health and safety during the COVID 19 pandemic. A detailed Life Cycle Assessment shows that plastics can have a lower carbon impact, especially within a circular economy, compared with other materials. This webinar will provide insights from industry and thought leaders on ways to evaluate the importance of plastic components and discuss where innovation is needed as the global community moves forward toward a circular economy.
