Inauguration of the King Abdullah Masjid

KAPSARC held the opening ceremony and inauguration of the King Abdullah Masjid on February 3, 2014.

KAPSARC employees and their families of all religions were invited to the opening, making it a multicultural and heartwarming event as all joined in the celebrations. In his welcome speech, Dr. Muhammad Saggaf, President of KAPSARC, explained that the role of the Masjid spans a wide spectrum of activities and responsibilities. In addition to being a place of worship and providing answers to questions about Islam for Muslims and non-Muslims, it is also a place for socialization, celebrations, meetings, and education – and offers a place to find tranquility and to relax from the pressures of life.

Following the official opening ceremony of the Masjid, Maghrib Prayers were held, after which refreshments were served in the Masjid’s Plaza as people of all faiths mingled with one another and enjoyed the occasion.

The King Abdullah Masjid is an eye-catching building situated in the center of the KAPSARC residential campus.
