The Renewable Energy in the GCC: In search of the best policy framework workshop to be held on April 26 at KAPSARC’s research center in Riyadh is the first in a series of events that will culminate in a published volume of research.
This forum will be used to discuss the challenges preventing large-scale adoption of renewable energy (RE) in the region and the practical steps that can be taken to promote it. A subset of the participants will present research concepts that will form the basis for papers on this topic, and a roundtable discussion will provide feedback to sharpen and develop their respective research plans.
Participants will include researchers and academics working on RE development in the GCC countries, as well as other senior delegates from the region. As with all KAPSARC workshops, the event will provide an opportunity to think through recent trends, concepts and issues with feedback from a community of experts to enhance the overall collective outcome.
