About
Aldy Gustinara Darwili is a Postdoctoral Researcher at KAPSARC, working at the intersection of international trade, environmental policy, and economic development. He specializes in using static and dynamic multi-regional input-output (MRIO) analysis to measure emissions embodied in production chains and to assess the impact of environmental policy. Prior to joining KAPSARC, he was a Ph.D. candidate at Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands and worked as a consultant for the World Bank and Global Efficiency Intelligence. His work spans emissions embodied in trade, technology-adjusted carbon accounting, carbon pricing and border adjustment mechanisms, and the distributional effects of climate policy on households, with a strong focus on linking trade structure to environmental outcomes. He has experience in MRIO model development, microsimulation, and econometric analysis, supporting evidence-based climate and trade policy design.
