About

Hal Turton is a Principal Fellow in the Utilities and Renewables Program at KAPSARC, with over 20 years of experience in energy sector research and analysis. Before joining KAPSARC, he worked at the International Atomic Energy Agency supporting member countries in developing their energy strategies. He also headed the Energy Economics Group at the Paul Scherrer Institute and coordinated the Global Energy Assessment at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis. Hal holds a Doctor of Sciences from ETH Zurich, a Master of Public Policy, and a Bachelor of Science. His current research focuses on the potential of nuclear energy in Saudi Arabia and beyond.
