Sid Ahmed Hamdani is a Principal Fellow in the Oil and Gas program, bringing over two decades of experience in the oil and gas industry. His expertise spans gas market developments, energy modeling, policy impact assessments, and strategic analyses for oil and gas projects. His current research focuses on the role of natural gas in the energy transition, particularly from the perspective of the MENA region.

Before joining KAPSARC, he was an energy policy and environment expert at the Gas Exporting Countries Forum, where he monitored global energy policies and environmental developments and assessed their implications for energy and gas markets. Earlier in his career, he worked for a leading national oil company, conducting strategic analyses, evaluating business opportunities, and contributing to corporate strategic planning.
