- Igniting the Market for Energy Conservation in the GCC Built Environment
This report outlines a practical path to examine and inform how to curb building-sector emissions in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) by pairing efficiency ambitions with policies and market arrangements that are effective under GCC climate conditions. It bridges diagnosis and delivery – a decomposition of past trends and forward-looking scenarios shows the potential for efficiency and where gains can come from; expert evidence pinpoints policy features that lower adoption frictions; and a market scan clarifies which business models can carry those gains.
