This study addresses three questions: Can solar technology innovations (STIs) enhance the renewable energy transition, while promoting economic growth and decarbonization? Which economic, climate, and renewable energy policy-related factors amplify the effects of STIs on solar electricity generation? How can supportive policy-related factors, identified from a sample of developing and developed countries, be leveraged for Saudi Arabia?
