This study assesses the potential for small-scale liquefied natural gas (ssLNG) in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, using a quantified strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) framework to identify country-specific deployment strategies. Flexibility is ssLNG’s strongest advantage, with modular plants installable in <18 months and scalable to manage dispersed, variable, and uncertain demand. This makes ssLNG suitable for off-grid power, industry, and remote locations where pipeline infrastructure is limited.
