Biography

Mohammed works with the Consulting Department as Senior Associate and is interested in investigating the environment, energy, and security nexus. Before joining KAPSARC, he worked as a Government Affairs Advisor at Aramco on regulatory research and public policy analysis. While seconded to the Ministry of Energy, he was part of the taskforce that worked on developing the National Renewable Energy Program and the first utility-scale renewable energy projects in the Kingdom. He previously worked on power factor correction assessments as a Power System Engineer at Aramco.

Mohammed has a master’s degree in Public Policy with a concentration in environmental policy from University of California, San Diego. His graduate research focused on the electrification of the transportation sector, hydrogen policy, and deep decarbonization technologies. He also holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from King Fahd University for Petroleum and Minerals.
