Biography

Grzegorz Peszko is the Executive Director of the Energy Macro and Microeconomics Program at KAPSARC, with over 30 years of international experience in economic and environmental policies for sustainable development. Previously, he served as Lead Economist at the World Bank in Washington, Lead Energy and Environmental Economist at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in London, Program Manager at the OECD in Paris, Assistant Professor at Krakow University of Economics in Poland, and Head of Unit at the Polish Ministry of Environment. Notably, Grzegorz was a Lead Author on reports contributing to the IPCC’s 2007 Nobel Peace Prize. He has also co-authored over 70 influential books and articles and served on several national and international boards and expert groups. He holds M.Sc. degrees from Jagiellonian University and University College London, and a Ph.D. in Economics from Krakow University of Economics.
