KAPSARC’s Board of Trustees has held its first biannual meeting in Riyadh. The meeting was chaired by H.E. Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources Eng. Khalid Al-Falih, and attended by Board members President of King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy H.E. Prof. Hashim Yamani, Advisor to the Royal Court H.E. Dr. Muhammad Al-Jasser, Chairman of Cambridge Enterprise, Prof. Sir Keith O’Nions, Founder Director of the Pahle India Foundation Dr. Rajiv Kumar, and President of KAPSARC Nadhmi Al-Nasr.

During the meeting, the latest research programs, newly introduced databases, development projects for management and operation systems, and performance reports were reviewed. In addition, the audited financial statements for 2016 were approved.

The Board also hosted a delegate from the Ministry of Economy and Planning to brief them in relation to Saudi Vision 2030 in order to enhance the twinning between the Center’s outputs and vision-supporting research requirements.

The Board of Trustees of KAPSARC is the highest authority of the Center, with responsibility for developing general policies, approving annual work plans, approving financial and administrative regulations and the budget and the final account of the Center, and supervising its activities.
