Dr. Robert Brown, President of Boston University, has been appointed to the KAPSARC Board of Trustees following ratification by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz.
Prior to Boston University, Dr. Brown held a number of leadership positions at MIT, including Provost, Dean of the School of Engineering, and Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering. In 2008, Dr. Brown was named as one of the top 100 Chemical Engineers of the Modern Era by the American Institute of Chemical Engineers.
Dr. Brown replaces the outgoing member Dr. Ernest Moniz, who had to resign due to his appointment as the US Secretary of Energy, and joins the other six distinguished international members of the Board:
