About
Joachim Monkelbaan is a Senior Fellow in the Climate and Sustainability Program at KAPSARC, with more than 20 years of experience spanning international organizations, think tanks, government, and the private sector. His expertise includes climate change, trade, competitiveness, and geopolitics. He has led high-level research projects for the United Nations and the World Economic Forum and has taught on sustainability topics. Dr. Monkelbaan holds master’s degrees in law and economics, a Ph.D. in sustainability science from the University of Geneva, and a specialization in finance from Harvard Business School.
