KAPSARC will shortly host its Energy Dialogue 2016 with over 300 of the world’s leading energy policymakers, researchers, practitioners and civil society.
The theme of the dialogue being held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on November 1 and 2 is Energy Transition and Economic Transformation. It will focus on how societies − both in the GCC and around the world − can extract the maximum social and economic value from energy.
The dialogue will begin with a keynote from H.E. Khalid Al-Falih, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources. Additional speakers include Amin H. Nasser, President and CEO of Saudi Aramco; H.H. Prince Dr. Turki Al Saud, President of KACST; Prof. Han Wenke, Former Director General of ERI; and Dr. Ajay Mathur, Director-General, TERI, India.
The two-day event will include 12 roundtable sessions, which will focus on energy productivity, optimizing the allocation of energy resources, supporting economic diversification, enabling industrially efficient economic transitions and international energy relations. Participants will include leading researchers and policy experts, from around the world.
