About
Abdelrahman Muhsen is the Director of Geospatial Solutions at KAPSARC and a certified Geographic Information Systems Professional (GISP), with over 20 years of experience in geospatial technologies and spatial data management. Since 2004, he has led enterprise GIS and spatial analytics initiatives for leading organizations across North America and the Middle East. At KAPSARC, he leads a multidisciplinary team focused on applying geospatial intelligence to support energy economics policymaking. His expertise spans spatial economic modeling, where he analyzes the relationships between energy demand, economic activity, land use, and urban transportation. Prior to joining KAPSARC, Abdelrahman worked with global consulting and technology firms, including Accenture and Esri, helping clients leverage geospatial data to support strategic decisions in the energy and infrastructure sectors. He holds a Master’s in Geomatics Engineering from the University of Calgary.
